It’s a “Holiday”

johno_1960I have no idea why. I should look it up because I do not remember. Which is on purpose. I don’t recognize saints. I don’t recognize churches. I don’t accept the power negotiations, or the process of humans naming someone a saint. I do recognize that New Orleans has a nfl team called The Saints, but I don’t think they employ any kind of saint.
It’s one of those holidays that people use to get drunk. I didn’t see anyone in the church. I did wear green today. And my friend Nick Whitey, an actual Irish person, dyed their hair green. And we didn’t play any tin whistle crap or clog dance.
So I turned my back on my people.
